Ecstasy is a psychoactive drug that is used as a stimulant. Its active ingredient is the chemical 3, 4-Methylenedioxymethamphetine, also known as MDMA. Ecstasy abuse is witnessed mainly among adolescents and young adults and it is sold in underground clubs, bars and in all-night parties also known as raves. Once ingested, MDMA produces a variety of effects upon the body the most notable being the pleasant and fuzzy feelings which are associated with the drug and are the main reason for its abuse.
